PFA  News

As you will have seen on Compass in recent weeks, fundraising is a big focus for the PFA at this time of year, with two of our major (and most delicious!) activities - the Hot Cross Bun drive and the much loved Easter Raffle.  We also have our annual Entertainment Book sales kicking off, and the last few Icypole Fridays for the term.

Hot Cross Bun Fundraiser - orders closing this Friday

Carnegie Bakers Delight is generously assisting the PFA again this year in our fundraising efforts.  They will donate $2.00 per 6 pack of Hot Cross Buns purchased by CPS families in this special fundraising offer.

Orders are now open on Qkr, under the PFA Fundraising & Events Menu.  There are 4 varieties of buns available, at a cost of $9 per 6 pack.  Orders close this Friday, 24th March, and buns will be sent home on Tuesday 28th March, with the child whose profile they are purchased under. Remember to ask family and friends if they would like you to order some for them too!

The CPS EGGstraordinary Easter Raffle

One of the most highly anticipated fundraisers of the year for the students!

Tickets are now on sale in Qkr (under the PFA Fundraising & Events Menu) – prices vary between $1.7 and $3 per ticket, depending how many you buy.

Winning tickets will be called out using the name and class of the profile they are purchased under.  This would be a great time to check that you have the right year level and homegroup attached to your child’s profile in Qkr, so any prize makes its way easily to them.  If you have more than one child at the school and would like each of them to have a chance at the draw, please buy some under each profile.

If you have friends, colleagues, neighbours, family members etc that would like to buy a ticket in their own name, you can set up a profile for them using the year level and home group ‘Friends of CPS’, or they can download Qkr and set up their own account.

Please also keep your donations of Easter Eggs, Easter toys and goodies rolling in as prizes for our fun filled raffle.  These can be placed in the box in your child's classroom, by Monday 3rd April.  Our friends at Lizzy’s Chocolates are once again kindly donating a GIANT egg for our first prize!

Thank you once again to Lizzy’s Chocolates for their very generous donation of this enormous chocolate egg.  Who will the lucky winner be this year?

We are also still looking for a few more helpers to package up the raffle prizes on the evening of Tuesday, 4th April - always a fun night!  If you are available, please sign up at https://signup.com/go/rfQFDNp.

The raffle will be drawn at an assembly on the last day of Term 1 - Thursday 6th April.

Thank you to the very talented Lucy Gow (Mum of Harvey in Grade 4) for once again bringing our very own CPS bomber jacket wearing Easter Bunny to life in the latest of her series of fantastic illustrations!

Entertainment Books

Sales are now open for the 2023 Entertainment ‘Book’.  The ‘book’ is now fully digital, with a searchable and location based app that is regularly updated, and has thousands of offers for dining, entertainment, travel and more.  CPS will receive 20% of the value of any purchase made using this link, so please feel free to share with your friends and family members.

Icypole Friday

Icypole Friday is on this week and next, before it takes a winter hiatus for Terms 2 & 3.  Icypoles are for sale for $1 each, after the second lunch bell.  Students in grades 3 - 6 should come to the canteen window in the Hall of Champions if they would like to buy one.  Prep - Grade 2 students will be able to give their money to their teacher and the icypoles will be handed out in the classroom.

Thank you for all your support.
