PANCAKE TUESDAY

We will be celebrating Pancake Tuesday next week on 1st March.  A Care Monkey notice was posted on Monday.  Please respond by Monday 28th February, if your child will, or will not, be receiving a pancake.  If you are able to assist on the day, we will start preparing from 9am in the school hall.  If you have a hand mixer and a large bowl to bring, it would be greatly appreciated.

If you have any lemons to donate, we would greatly appreciate them. Please drop them into the office.

If you are able to assist, all of our volunteers are required to be double vaccinated and hold a current Working With Children's Check and have signed the COHR Child Safety Code of Conduct. Gloves will be provided.

PARENTS ASSOCIATION AGM

Our Parents Association AGM will be held next Tuesday, 8th March at 7.00pm in the staff room.  All are welcome to attend.  The following roles are up for nomination:

 -       Vice Treasurer

-        General Members

Parents Association Roles

Vice Treasurer:

The Vice Treasurer role is to assist the Treasurer in their role to achieve the aims and objectives set out in the Constitution.  The Vice Treasurer shall provide the report at the meeting in the absence of the Treasurer.

General Member:

The role of The General Member is to regularly attend meetings of the Association and provide support to the Executive in fulfilling aims and objectives of the Association.

Class Representative/s:

Every class at Christ Our Holy Redeemer Primary School has two parent Class Representative positions.  We are asking parents to please volunteer for roles.  The Class Representative role is very important to our school community.  It provides support to the teachers and acts as a liaison between teachers and parents in the school.

The role of Class Representatives:

  • Be supportive of staff and the whole school ethos.
  • Invite parents to include their contact details (ask parents their preferred form of communication) for communication of class messages and events, etc.
  • Contact new families on arrival and personally welcome them to the school community
  • To organise opportunities for the parents in your child's class to meet socially and help them get to know each other.  Events might include family picnics or parents dinners.
  • Class Representatives, and other class helpers, are respectful of everyone's privacy and ensures that the confidentiality of teachers, students and parents is maintained at all times.

Nomination forms can be obtained from the office.  If you are unable to attend the meeting but wish to apply, please contact the office. We look forward to seeing you there.
