Resource Centre

Welcome to 2022 at Scoresby Secondary College. I hope that the year ahead is happy and safe for all members of the school community.

Borrowing

The Resource Centre is currently busily lending out fiction books to Years 7, 8 and 9 students for their reading sessions which are held for approximately 15 minutes at the beginning of each English lesson. The Resource Centre has a very well stocked fiction collection and provides plenty of choice for everyone. Recommendations by students are always welcome.

Year 11 Private Study

Year 11 students have started using the Resource Centre for their private study sessions, a new experience for most. The students have settled in well and are working productively on their tasks.

Covid-Safe Protocols

Covid-safe protocols have been put in place within the Resource Centre in order to minimize transmission of the virus:

Masks must be worn, above the nose
Hand sanitizing is required on entry
Social distancing signs are in place
Limits placed at lunchtimes to allow social distancing
Cleaning of resources when returned to Resource Centre
2 air purifiers are in operation
Doors are kept open with cross ventilation
