Mercy Prayer

We pray for the Sisters of Mercy, who established our school and for the priests who have served at St. Mary’s.

It is through their vision,  determination and strong faith that we enjoy the benefits of a Catholic Education here in Mooroopna.

We are proud to be a Mercy School, where the values of love and justice are taught and lived every day.

Term Four - Week Ten

Christmas, 2021.

The following lyrics are taken from Andrew Chinn’s song, “Under Your Star.”

Let us remember the true meaning of Christmas and celebrate the birth of Jesus with hope, peace, joy and love.

Under Your Star

by Andrew Chinn

Late in the night, baby Jesus lays asleep.

Mother Mary beside him, looks with a love so deep.

Joseph watches over, his love he cannot hide.

And He sleeps under your stars and they sparkle in the sky.

In the fields nearby, the shepherds tend their sheep.

God’s angel appears and the shepherds are filled with fear.

“Glory to God in the highest, and peace to all people on earth.”

And He sleeps under God’s star, rejoice in his birth.

And in the east the wise men see this star.

They journey across the desert, they come from afar.

In Bethlehem they find him, in the stable where he lays.

And He sleeps under God’s star and the star will show the way.
