Prep Excursion to Museum of Play and Art

On Monday the 19th of June the prep students went on an exciting excursion to the Museum of Play and Art (MoPA). MoPA is a play-based art museum that allowed the preps an exciting opportunity to engage in sensory, immersive experiences.

First stop was story time in the reading room that allowed us to experience an interactive story and build on the comprehension strategies we have been working on in our classrooms.

Next up was the wind wall where we could place plastic balls into different tubes to explore how air pressure can make things move. We had to watch very closely to find where the plastic balls would end up!

We also got to play in Sunset City where there was even a rainbow cave with a disco floor. We could explore the different levels and buildings.

There were so many more fun things to explore at MoPA, including a painting wall, slide and giant marble run!

At the end of the day we had a huge dance party where we practiced moving our body to music and celebrated a fantastic excursion.
