College Athletics Carnival

At the beginning of this term, on Tuesday May 9th, we had the College Athletics Carnival. It was not the best day weather wise, but students and staff braved the elements and made another successful day out of it – in-between ducking for cover!   Unfortunately, we were unable to do presentations, so these are now going to have to be announced at the next Whole School Assembly which will be held early in Term 3.

Which House won the Carnival on Athletics Day?   ………………………. you are all going to have to wait to find out!

However, all students who won their events now have the opportunity to represent the College at the Yarra District Athletics Carnival at the end of August. Please keep an eye out on Compass and the Daily News for this event.

Term 2 Interschool Sports have finished up with nearly 20 events happening over a busy term. This included all year levels competing in Football, Netball, Soccer and Badminton, as well as the Athletics Carnival and the Yarra District and Eastern Metropolitan Region Cross Country.    Congratulations to all students who competed and represented the College in their usual approach of excellence, respect and responsibility, as well as having a fun day!    Special mention to the Year 8’s who won both the Soccer events and the Boys Badminton and who will now be competing in the Eastern Metropolitan events next term.

Year 7 Netball

Congratulations to the Lilydale Heights Year 7 Netball team for coming 2nd in their pool at interschool sports on Wednesday 31st May. A special mention to their fantastic Year 8 coaches!

Netball  - Year 11 vs Year 12

The Year 12’s defeated the Year 11’s in a close game on Friday 2nd June.
