Book Recommendation
Tamsyn recommended, “Family Holiday Disasters”. The story is set at a cheap holiday park, where Jacob, Jody and their parents go on a holiday in a play and end up near a volcano. Tamsyn recommends the book for students in years 3 to 6 and rates it 4.5 stars.
Loddon Mallee Region Cross Country
Yesterday Sam and Nate headed across to St Arnaud to compete in the Regional Cross County event. Just qualifying for this stage is amazing. Nate ran his 2km to finish 48th in a time of 10:16. Sam ran his 3km to finish in a very creditable 19th place in a time of 12:56. Well done to both boys. A big thank you to Bec and Tamara for taking the boys across (& for the photos), with low staff numbers we really appreciate parent support.
Campaspe Downs Camp
The countdown to camp is really on now! We depart next Wednesday, and with a holiday on Friday and Monday that is coming around fast! Students have received their final information. The bus will depart at 9am Wednesday morning and will return to school by 3pm on the Friday afternoon. The activities students will participate in are Centipede, Bushcraft, Low Ropes, Raft Build, Possum Glider, Orienteering, Laser Tag and Flying Fox. Plenty of activity to look forward to.
Around the classrooms
Foundation enjoyed their morning tea in the sunshine.
It was teamwork at its greatest in the sandpit on Friday.
Ms Yap’s numeracy group have been looking at “tallying” and counting by fives.
We have some great cross school programs running at the moment. The ear 10 students organised the F-2 Physical Education class last Friday. They took them through the three components of the long jump and then had them perform the skill as a whole, where they assessed their techniques, all part of their outcomes while the primary students benefit.
