Parents & Friends

‘JUST ONE THING’

One of the things that makes Bendigo Violet St Primary the best school in Bendigo is our friendly and active school community. We want to make sure every family (especially new ones!) have the opportunity to get involved.

We have almost 200 families in the Violet St school community. We would be extremely grateful if every family could nominate to do ‘JUST ONE THING’ to help the Parents & Friends Committee in 2023. Volunteering at school is an excellent way to meet new people and make friends – plus your children will love seeing parents/grandparents or other special people at school.

Follow this link to the  ‘Just one thing’ survey or copy/paste this into your browser https://forms.gle/9nAhJbYmj18J4zue9

You will find a list of “things” you can do to be a part of the Violet St Parents & Friends and support the school. There is also space for you to include any skills that you would like to share with us. Just fill in your contact details and tick just one (or more if you wish!).

Please complete this survey as soon as possible.

Volunteering is easy, fun and doesn’t require a huge commitment. Research shows that helping at school also benefits your child, plus funds raised by the Parents & Friends are returned to the school to enhance your child’s education experience.

All activities at Violet St require a current Working With Children Check. You can get a free Working With Childrens Check here: www.workingwithchildren.vic.gov.au .

A Parents & Friends group member will contact you about how you can help throughout 2023.

Parents & Friends are having their first fundraiser, a Bidgewater Bakery Pie Drive! Children took home an order form last week and they need to be returned by 16th June. Ask your friends, family, co-workers and neighbours if they'd like to buy a pie to help support Bendigo Violet St. Primary. If you need another form see Lou at the office.

Pie Drive important details:

  • Forms due back: 16th June (end of term 2)
  • Pies to be picked up from school on 13/14th July
  • Return your form to the office
  • More info ask Lou at the office or text Jess 0458 973 897
