School Production

Show time at Monty!
We are excited to announce, that this term all students will be participating in a whole school production. This is an opportunity for students to showcase their visual and performing arts skills in a special concert held in a casual theatre setting at Eltham High School.
Students will spend the term busily learning and rehearsing choreography, making costumes, building props and expressing their creativity in preparation for the big show.
In the past, our school production has been a one night only event, but this year, due to our growing numbers of both students and eager audience members, the students will be performing on two nights. Limited tickets will be made available to each family and sold on a first come, first served basis. More details on ticketing will be made available in the coming weeks.
Please jot down the following information in your diary:
Production Nights: September 19th & 20th at 6.30pm (all students perform on both nights)
Full Day Rehearsal at EHS: September 19th
Student Cost: $25 (this will go towards costumes, props and bus fare, and will be part of the Term 3 Planner)
The Grade 5/6 students will be offered the opportunity to audition for a speaking role in the production. Successful applicants will then be expected to attend some lunch time rehearsals and learn lines by heart. These auditions will take place in Week 2. Please support students in this process and encourage resilience and a positive attitude when auditioning for roles.
Please ensure you check Compass notifications regularly, as all correspondence for the production will be sent via the Compass portal.
Please stay tuned for more information on this exciting event which will no doubt be a fun and positive experience for our Monty community.
Break a leg,
Sarah Kechayas
