Sun Safety 

From the first of September to the end of the year, children are required to wear a broad brimmed hat while outside at kindergarten. Please do not send caps. At this time of year, we monitor the daily UV index via the SunSmart app, to make decisions about applying sunscreen based on the UV index being forecast as 3 and above.

Attached below is information about the types of hats to provide and information about being sun smart. 

Please also note that if you are spending time at the kindergarten we ask that you also model being sun smart by wearing a hat.
