Grandparents Day

Grandparents Day lived up to our high expectations as one of the highlights of the year. Some 290 grandparents from as far away as Perth, Brisbane and Melbourne made this a most delightful, exciting, and memorable occasion. It was wonderful to see the pride and excitement on children’s faces as they welcomed their special folks into their classrooms and to show them around the School.  Lots of photos to enjoy on both the ELC  & Special Events pages of the newsletter.

We all join in congratulating and thanking Mrs Anne Bryant, Ms Lynette Colebatch and Mrs Dani Hohneck as masterminds behind the organisation of the event, Mrs Mandy Batt and Mrs Janine Henderson and her students for their wonderful contributions to morning tea. A special thank you goes to our wonderful parent volunteer guides whose warm welcome to visitors was so greatly appreciated by everyone.

Other events

I draw your attention to a series of reports about an exciting range of other recent events:

Pedal Prix, Music Eisteddfod, Primary and Secondary Excursions, sporting events, Outdoor Ed Camp, preparations for 2018 mission and Kokoda trips, planning for the 2019 Kenya and Sri Lanka mission trips.

Interwoven with all of these events have been the quietly outstanding teaching and learning experiences of our vibrant school community. Behind the scenes our executive team, led by Mr Mike Potter, Head of Schools, has been focusing on the development of a long term strategic plan for our School.

Underpinning all of this activity is our study of God’s Word through Staff devotions, parent prayer group, classroom Bible studies and prayer, links to local pastors and parishes, fellowship with our Tyndale Board, colleagues at Salisbury East and Murray Bridge and connections with the wider Christian school communities in SA, the nation and world-wide.

Blessings,

Nigel Croser - Principal
