Year 11 and 12 Dance students

On Thursday the 21st of February the Year 11 and 12 Dance students went on an excursion to the Melbourne Recital Centre to see the Top Class Dance Performance for 2019.

Top Class Dance is presented by the Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority and is a dynamic and inspiring concert that represents top scoring young dancers from across Victoria from the 2018 school year. The concert presents a range of performance dance solos from VCE and VET Dance, including both composition and skills solos.

The VCE Dance class at St. Peter’s are currently working on choreographing their skills solos, so it was inspirational for our students to see the variety of top scoring performances from last year. All students left the excursion with ideas and new concepts to try in their own solos.
