Year 2

What's Been Happening in Year 2
The production was fun and I liked that I was a teacher. I loved it that there were lots of skits and songs.
Mackenzie E
The production was fun. I really liked the songs.
Celeste
The production was fun because we got to change into different costumes. I loved it that there were skits and songs.
Anna
The production was fun but actually doing the training was hard. It was still fantastic though. We have been doing coding on Scratch at school. I like coding.
(Scratch is a coding language where you can create your own interactive stories, games, and animations.)
Leo
I liked the production because we got to do lots of talking parts.
I also liked how we get to learn new stuff on our computer in class like slides and coding.
Jason
In class, we have been learning about similes and alliteration.
A simile uses the words ‘like’ or ‘as’ to compare things, for example, The pencil was as sharp as a pin or the boat was leaking like a sieve.
Alliteration is when several words in sentences all begin with the same letter, for example, Peter Piper picked a peck of pickled peppers.
I really liked the production. I had to do a solo. I was nervous at the start.
Nikki
I like Maths because it is exciting and fun. It helps my brain to learn. It makes me happy.
Aiden
Last week, I went to Siena College with Mum to make soup for the poor and hungry. I made pumpkin soup and creamy vegetable soup. Altogether we made 50 containers of soup. We froze these ready for the Church to distribute. I had fun.
