La Matematica

This term in Italian, the children are having fun with numbers and using Italian with a focus on mathematics.  The Year Prep students have been using dice in addition and subtraction games. Please quiz the children at home and get them to use numbers in simple tasks.

Later this term, the children will be taking part in a STEM/Italian/German/Greek extravaganza. Two other teachers and I will run short multi-lingual classes in Italian, German and Greek so as to expose the children to maths concepts in the target language while undertaking some simple maths activities.  This should be fun for the children and will provide valuable feedback for the teachers.
