Grade Six

Grade 6 Report
The Grade 6 cohort have done so much since the last newsletter and we are so excited for the new experiences coming up!
We have done so many end of year activities and still have more yet to come. We have already completed our Graduation Bears, which were really fun to make and they all look very cute and ready to sign in just a couple days.
We are almost finished our Health and Human Development sessions as well. It was really interesting to find out everything we need to know about growing up and our emotions.
We have recently performed our dance production with the theme "Oatlands on Broadway". So many tickets were sold and it was really fun. We were all a little bit nervous but when we got up on the stage, we were ready to dance. The Grade 6 classes did individual dances. The Grade 6 dances were Grease mashup, Stick it to the Man from the School of Rock, Oompa Loompa from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Abba mashup and a Queen mashup where all of the grade 6's joined in the dance.
Next week, a few of the Grade 6 students are going off on a big hike at Wilsons Promontory. They have been training for so long and are very excited to see all the beautiful views and animals.
We have recently finished our assessments for our last reports at Primary School and we all have improved so much throughout one year. We are all very excited about that and hope we get great scores in our reports.
Interschool sport has been really fun, we all enjoy versing other schools and have a good time playing the sport we chose. You could choose from cricket, basketball, softball, rounders and volley stars. All of the sports are really enjoyable and it allows us to step out of our comfort zone and have a real crack at it and have a good time.
In a few weeks time we get to enjoy even more end of year activities including bowling and McDonalds, Casey Arc Aquatic Adventure, bike ride and BBQ and after all that we have our very own Graduation and Graduation lunch the day after Graduation.
We are all very excited for the upcoming events and we are ready for High school and Orientation day when we get to spend a day at our High school. We will all miss Oatlands very much but have a great time learning and making new friends at our High schools.
It has definitely been the BEST YEAR at Oatlands Primary School!!!
