Welcome, and 2020 membership renewal

Welcome to the November 2019 edition of the newsletter for Australasian Palliative Link International (APLI).

To begin, at our Annual General Meeting held on 9 September we thanked our outgoing Chairperson Christine Drummond for her work over the last year, together with that of departing committee members Maite Uribe and Meera Agar. Odette Spruijt has very kindly taken up the mantle of Chairperson in addition to continuing in her role of Project Hamrahi coordinator.

Joan MacKintosh and Joan Ryan are continuing on our Executive Committee and we were pleased to welcome the following new committee members: Yamin Myat Aye, Rachel Coghlan, Judith McEniery, Marianne Phillips and John Haberecht.

I would like to offer collective thanks to the South Australian Indian Medical Association (SAIMA) for supporting APLI at their annual charity gala dinner in June 2019. Over $8000 was raised courtesy of SAIMA and Christine Drummond.

Finally, we invite you to sign up as a member in 2020 to support the work of APLI. For those of you who are already financial members, our heartfelt thanks to you. If not, we really would like to welcome more members to the APLI community.

The subscription fee for a standard annual membership is AUD $50 per annum and premium membership is $150, where $100 is channelled to support Project Hamrahi.
