NAPLAN

NAPLAN Testing: 14 – 24 May 2019

Federal, state and territory education ministers have agreed that NAPLAN will move online over a two-three year period. This means moving NAPLAN from the current paper-based tests to computer-based assessments.

The transition to NAPLAN online at Kurunjang Secondary College is happening in 2019.

NAPLAN Online will provide better assessment, more precise results and faster turnaround of information. NAPLAN Online features ‘tailored testing’ which gives students questions that are more suited to their ability – resulting in better assessment and more precise results.

The online national assessment platform has been built by Education Services Australia with funds from the Australian Government. A public demonstration platform is available for trialling at https://www.nap.edu.au/online-assessment/public-demonstration-site

100 year 7 students took part in the Coordinated Practice Test on the 28th of March. All year 7’s and year 9’s will be acquainted with the platform early in term 2 via scheduled Student Familiarisation Tests.
