Psychology Classes

What is a Neuron?

What is a neuron? How do our taste buds detect flavour? Do we all see images in the same way?

Students have been working very hard in Year 10, 11 and 12 Psychology studying these concepts and much more. From drawing body outlines and identifying the sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous systems, to building neuron models out of play dough; taste testing; using monocular and binocular cues; looking at visual illusions; and determining if they are supertasters, all students have taken a ‘hands on’ learning approach to Psychology with great enthusiasm. We are fortunate this year to be running six classes of Psychology across Years 10-12 with many inquisitive minds exploring all that the brain, mind and body have to offer.
