Christmas Hamper Appeal 2018
Thank you to the many families and staff, who so generously supported this St Vincent de Paul appeal. This week we received a letter, outlining how important our hampers are. I would like to share it with you.
"To St Finbars students and teachers and those that gave donations to enable us and those in need of Christmas Fare,
It is very much appreciated and I like the extra personal gifts whether it is something that says ' Especially for you' or a cute Christmas tree decoration. My heart melts for those delicate fingers to make them and the little hearts that goes into it.
Thank you so much from a Mother and Grandmother.
This is why we do what we at St finbar's thank you everyone.
Student Led Prayer
On Monday some of our Year 6 students wrote a prayer for our first assembly. I also used this prayer at our Information Night last night.
Thank you to Maisy WAlker, Ava - Jane Mason, Juliet O'Brien and Roy Martin.
Lord Jesus, we ask for Your help as we begin this new school year.
Allow us to experience Your presence in the many blessings You put before us.
Open our eyes to the new challenges and exciting opportunities that this new school year brings. Open our hearts and minds to new friends and new teachers.
Give us a generous spirit to be enthusiastic with and about our children's’ studies and help us to have the courage to accept new opportunities.
Help us to be attentive to our children and let us experience Your presence in their new experiences, be they highlights or challenges, Jesus, continue to inspire us to do our best this year!
Amen

2019 Welcome Mass
In conjunction with our Celebration Week and deepening our family school partnerships, we warmly invite you all to Mass on Friday 8th Feb at 9:15am. Our masses are always student led and all family members are welcome, especially babies and toddlers. This is an important opportunity to pray as a St Finbar's parish and school community and deepen our relationship with God. Gathering in God's name is one way we can enact our Catholic faith and guide and nurture our children authentically within our tradition. We look forward to seeing many of you there.
