Father's day Edition
On Monday we held our first Year Prep 2021 Transition session for parents. It was great to meet our new and 'old' families even though it was done via video hook-up.
Over the coming weeks, we will get the opportunity to learn a little bit more about each of our new Prep children as we meet each family and our children begin their Transition sessions. Obviously, this will all be conducted by video link while we remain under Step 2 of the Victorian Government's Roadmap to Re-opening.
Make sure you check out our Book Week: Curious Creatures, Wild Minds page of our Newsletter to find out about what the children have been up to during Book Week. And of course, our Dress Up Day has been documented for you all to see on our Facebook page.
Thank you to Miss Jane Wilkinson for coordinating all events and to our children and families for 'getting into the spirit of things' during these weird and wonderful times.
With only 37 school days left I ask that families attempt to settle all 2020 Fee and Levy accounts by the end of November (unless alternative arrangements have been made). Statements will be sent out to all families this week.
As previously communicated even though children did not physically attend school and classes for a great period of time, the overall cost associated with providing our comprehensive Remote Learning educational program did not change significantly.
In regards to Fees and Levies what I can announce now is that after consultation with our school accountant, we will be able to keep next year's fees and levies exactly the same. There will NOT be any increases!
Therefore our Fee and Levy structure for 2021 is as follows:
Family Fee
$1430
Term 1 Instalment: $480.00 due by 1st April 2021
Term 2 Instalment: $480.00 due by 25th June 2021
Term 3 Instalment: $470.00 due by 17th September 2021
Curriculum Levy
$470 payable before 26th February 2021
Capital Levy
$110 payable by 25th June 2021
The Department of Education has expanded the scope of the Camps, Sports and Excursions Fund (CSEF), enabling schools to use these funds for voluntary school charges, books and stationery for the remainder of 2020. This expansion application includes levies paid by families towards the purchase of books, stationery and other learning materials by the school on behalf of a CSEF-eligible student.
Eligible families will see this reflected on their statement.
We are continuing to monitor and adjust measures to protect the health and safety of students, staff, families and the community.
We will continue with our staggered finishing times and restricting visitor access to school grounds until further notice. And I ask that parents continue to give particular attention to reducing the risks associated with congregating at school gates and please remember the 1.5m social distancing rule.
While there has been so much effort being placed into our 'Return to School Plan' we are also well into planning preparations for 2021. So, to assist with staffing and class groupings we really need to know ASAP if there are any families who are NOT returning to Corpus Christi School next year.
Please contact me directly if your child/ren will not be returning in 2021.
A reminder to all that as we are not permitted to have visitors (other than essential services and maintenance) come on-site the office will remain closed unless for emergency situations.
Therefore it would be preferred that ALL PAYMENTS be made via direct deposit or over the phone via your credit card. If these aren't a viable option we will accept debit cards via EFTPOS. Please call the office to arrange a time.
All children should now be in full summer uniform. If you need to purchase items, these are your options:
Once your order is packed and ready we will contact you to make a time for collection.
AND REMEMBER NO HAT NO PLAY!
Have a wonderful week
Stay safe and God Bless
