e-Learning

with the Specialists

It has been so wonderful to be back onsite with students this term in all Specialist subjects and seeing students thriving in the different areas. Each subject continues to incorporate technology into their classes in many different ways.

In Physical Education this term, technology has been integrated into the classroom through displaying the Learning Intention and Success Criteria up on the big screen in the Blue Hall to go through with the students as well as Mindfulness videos and demonstrations.

During Korean classes, visuals are used to show the children new learning concepts along with videos and games that are played online. Showbie continues to be utilised to communicate with the children and to assist with recording their learning.

This Term in Performing Arts students are using the iPad application Puppet Pals and Puppet Pals 2. Years One to Four students are working through puppetry and fractured fairy tales.

All students in Years Three to Six submit their learning activities on Showbie and timely feedback is provided.

Students in Years Five and Six will begin using iMovie and Garage Band to work on writing songs and making a film clip.

Dear parents and families of Years Three and Four students,
Upon use of the Puppet Pals application previously downloaded, the children and I concluded that it doesn’t have the capabilities we require to complete our plays for this term. We kindly ask that families delete the Puppet Pals or Puppet Pals HD version and download the FREE PUPPET PALS 2 application instead.

Please see the link and logo below to confirm you have the correct app. This edition is FREE and is NOT the Puppet Pals 2: School Edition.

Thank you for your co-operation.
