EXAMS
Exam week has now come and gone, and I would like to say a big thank you to all the students of the Junior Sub-School for their efforts during this time. Everyone conducted themselves in accordance with our College values of Respect, Excellence and Achievement during the week and I hope their results reflect the efforts they have put in during this unique and challenging Semester. I would especially like to congratulate the Year 7 students who were experiencing their first true exam week. This must have been a daunting time, but they managed it with confidence and enthusiasm.
STEM Week
Week 9 is STEM week for Year 8 students. During this week every Home Group has the challenge of designing the greatest theme park they can. They will have a double period every day of the week to decide on a theme, design the rides and attractions and build the park out of a wide variety of materials. This is always a fun and eventful week, so get excited!
PE Activities Week
Week 9 contains yet another event to get excited about, the PE Activities Program. In the absence of the usual Swimming Program run at this time, Year 7 and 8 students will be engaging in a series of activities (various sports, team building and social cohesion games, etc.), competing in House Teams and aiming to earn points through their participation. Each Home Group will have a dedicated double period each day of the week and students will be able to select their desired activity each day, from a list of options. Due to the nature of this program, students are recommended to wear sports uniform every day of the week.
Locker Clean Up
As we are nearing the end of the year, it is time to engage in the end of year clean up. All students are required to empty their lockers completely before leaving for the holidays. Time has, and will continue to be provided, to complete this task, but now is the time to start taking extra things home each day, so they don’t have a huge bag to carry on their last day.
