Snapshot Surveys
Thank you sincerely to everybody who has participated in our snapshot surveys this year. The information we have gathered has helped us to improve the processes and procedures in Kingswood Primary School and the team will continue to use the data as we plan for 2018.
It was really nice to read the comments that were left to our final question of 2017, “What is the best thing about Kingswood Primary School?”
- I love how Kingswood is committed to delivering the best education, innovative practices and student experience that builds the foundation for a successful life for each student.
- The staff
- Communication within the school is the best and you really are here for the kids.
- Habits of Mind
- Staff and grounds
- Great, caring community.
A Little Ray of Giving
The fantastic Kingswood Community have donated 185 gifts this year to the campaign, organised by Ray White. The gifts will be distributed to children who wouldn’t otherwise receive a present this Christmas. I am so proud to be involved with such a generous community.
Volunteer Helper Morning Tea
The staff took the opportunity to thank all of the parents and grandparents who come to support us in the classrooms and on excursions, camps and other special events last week at our annual Morning Tea. There are many programs that couldn’t work without your support and many more that are enhanced significantly by your participation and hard work.
There were lots of happy, smiling faces in the hall as we all came together to chat and enjoy a nice morning tea with seasonal music playing in the background.
Thank you to everybody who came along and also to those who couldn’t make it, but who their time, so generously, to Kingswood in order to make it the best possible environment for each and every student. For that commitment and dedication, we are truly grateful.
For those of you who are interested in getting involved in 2018, I will be running Classroom Helper Training Sessions in Term 1 so please watch Compass for the dates.
Carols
Well done to Mrs. Vella for organising this year’s Twilight Carols. Every student in our school was included and given the opportunity to get on stage and sing along with their own class group. Both the Junior and Senior choirs also performed some Christmas Carols for us, as well as the parents and staff. It was a really fun night.
Once again, the weather tried hard to dampen the spirits but the Kingswood Community persisted, thought flexibly and found humour. The parents who cooked, served food and sold drinks and raffle tickets were particularly innovative and enthusiastic, despite all of the challenges. You are an amazing group of people.
I hope you all have a very peaceful and enjoyable break. Stay safe over the holidays and I look forward to continuing our work in 2018.
