Year 12 Retreat

The Year 12 Retreat was an amazing experience for all students and staff. Throughout the retreat, Burning Bright led activities that pushed the students to explore who they are and where they want to go in the next 12 months and further into the future.

The students chose the theme “Be You” and this was explored through quite reflection, meditation and activities that extended them emotionally and challenged them on past and future behaviours. All the students took on these activities with raw, honest emotion and surprised themselves and their teachers with the depth of emotional maturity and honesty shown.

The Superheros and Villains social was also a blast. The costumes looked incredible! A big thank you needs to go to Ruben Sebastian and Paris Reginato who put together an amazing playlist, which had everyone dancing all night!

The staff are all so proud of the way the students behaved and engaged with the activities throughout the retreat.

Melbourne Cup Fundraiser

Year 12 completed their first fundraiser event and put on quite the show- which stopped the nation, on Melbourne Cup Day. Slushies, baked goods, balloon darts, pinatas and the Vinnies fashion accompanied with live music were all enjoyed throughout the afternoon. 

A big congratulations and thank you goes to all the students who helped organise and make this such a great event. Thank you also goes to Mr Segrave who set up the live music, Griffith City Cinema and Axikem for donating the prizes for the various activities.

The students all looked amazing in their Vinnies Fashion show and continue to impress with their generosity and effort in fundraising.
