State Championships Results.

Our Year 6 Cricket made it through to the last round of the School Sports Victoria pathway event - the Victorian State Championships.  The best 8 primary school in Victoria travelled from places such as Ballarat,  Mirboo North, Craigieburn and Point Cook.

The boys played and won three preliminary rounds and finished top of Pool B.  They then defeated the 2nd place team team of Pool A to qualify for the grand Final.  They played the team they defeated in the first game of the day but they were unable to win the last game.  It was their first loss of the year and they are formally declared the 2nd best team in the state.

Well done to John Mitchell and the boys for an incredible year of constant improvement both on and off the field.  They really did the school proud in they way they went about thier season.  Also, a big thank you to the parents who were there at the finals or were present at any of the games throughout the year.

Orienteering

Our Year 3s to 6s have been learning about the sport of orienteering.  The activities have been very engaging and a sneaky way of getting students to do a bit of extra mathematics.  It's all about running and reading maps.  We have ran individual races, as well as team races were they need to strategise and get along.
