Principal's Message

Rollins Transition Day

Over the past couple of weeks we have held transition sessions for all grades. This has given students the opportunity to become accustomed to their new grade areas, teachers and  routines.

This Thursday we will send home a slip of paper with your child's actual grade teacher for 2023.

End of Year Events

Just a reminder for parents to continue to check COMPASS and DoJo for excursion reminders. There is a lot going on at this time of the year and keeping up to date can be a little challenging. We will not be chasing people with phone calls, unfortunately your child will miss out. Any event that still needs to be paid for, you will need to contact the office and either pay over the phone or EFTPOS in the office.

We have created a post in the Compass News Feed called 'Dates for your diary' so you can keep up to date.

Last day for Students

The last day for students at Rollins for 2022 is Friday 16th December. The students will be dismissed at 3.30pm.

Farewell Mr Ilsley

After a long career in education Doug Ilsley will take LSL in 2023 with the intention of retiring in 2024. Doug has been a member of the Rollins staff for many years. His contribution to education has had many facets, including grade teacher, PE teacher and Co-Ordinator of Sporting Victoria. In these roles he has provided numerous opportunities for our students to expand their horizons and excel in a variety of academic and sporting areas. Doug has decided to move up north where the weather is a little more predictable than here and perfect his golf swing!

As a community we would like to sincerely thank Doug for his long term contribution to education and wish him all the very best as he begins a new adventure.

Happy and Safe Holidays

As this is the last formal newsletter for 2022, I would like to wish all our families a very safe and happy holiday.

Many thanks for all your support during 2022. It takes a team to support each child to reach their maximum capacity.

Enjoy the holidays with your family as these are really memorable times. We will see you all again in 2023 for another action packed year.
