Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays
Congratulations to the Graduating Class of 2022
On Wednesday night the Graduating Class of 2022 was celebrated with families, parents, and friends.
A brilliant evening started with the School Captains sharing their parting speeches, a message from Michael Sukkar to present the Deakin Shield, and the McCutcheon Award announced by Miss Roberts.
The audience was entertained as the students shared their thoughts and reflections about their fellow classmates, sharing highlights, character strengths and memorable moments. The best part was hearing the students heartfelt congratulations and well wishes for each other.
Academic excellence awards in all subject areas followed, with robust applause for each worthy candidate as they excitedly accepted their shields.
If that wasn’t enough the Graduating Class then came together to sing the song, ‘Seven Years’, an emotional performance with soloists and the class coming together as one. Delicious food and a disco topped off the evening.
A big thank you to the parents and staff who assisted with the organisation of decorations and the delicious food including a cake and cupcakes for the whole crew.
And so, it is time to say good-bye. I have loved the laughs, the chats, and seeing you grow Year 6, 2022. Camp was a highlight this year, not the canoe capsizing or the magpies swooping, but I loved the chance to see many of you in your true light, being yourselves out of the classroom constraints. You have so much to offer to your new secondary schools.
Take our best wishes with you, our affection, and hopefully something of the lessons we have tried to impart to you.
Good Luck

Farewell to our families who are seeing their youngest graduate from GRPS.

I look forward to spending time with daughters and extended family.
A book by the pool with a cool drink, is just what the doctor ordered.
Warmest regards,
