Book Week 21-27 August 2021

Book Week will be held from 21-27 August 2021. The Children's Book Council of Australia will announce the winners of the book week awards on 20th August 2021.

At St Anthony's School we will be celebrating book week with a number of guest author speakers during the week. Our annual book week dress up day will be held on Friday, 27th August 2021. All students are encouraged to dress up. Parents are asked to email a photo of their child in costume to tomahoney@santglen.catholic.edu.au

Please start thinking about some creative book character costume ideas. Students are encouraged to dress up on this day as their favourite book character or as something that connects with the book week theme. The theme this year is “Old Worlds, New Worlds, Other Worlds”. Your child’s costume may be as simple as wearing a mask or as extravagant as a whole ensemble. There are many quick and easy costume ideas available on the internet and on websites such as Pinterest.  Stores such as Spotlight, Kmart, Woolies and Big W may also assist you with costume ideas.
