42 days until the VCAA English/EAL Exam

We have made it to the end of Term 3!  Thank you to everyone for your support of our senior student in ending this term successfully!  As we head into the exams, there are a number of key days for our students enrolled in Unit 3 and 4 subjects to be aware of:

Term 3 holidays

We are still awaiting further information from the Premier on the return to school plan for Year 12s, however, our approach has been to maximise opportunities for students as much as we can.  With this in mind, please note the following events during the holidays:

Week 1

  • Skyline Hatch FREE revision lectures:  (students will receive a link via their school email to select workshops), more info is available here.
  • Tuesday 21st September, 3:00pm - 5:00pm:  Students are invited to collect essential items from their locker in the case of a lockdown extension.  Students will also be able to collect an Exam Pack in preparation for mock exams in week 2 of the holidays.

Week 2

  • Unit 3 & 4 Mock Exams will run all week.  The timetable is available on Compass, at this point we are planning for exams to be run online.
  • Friday 30th September:  Tertiary Preferences on VTAC due.

Key dates for Term 4

Week 1

  • Tuesday 5th October:  The GAT.
  • Wednesday 6th October Study Period:  Complete Consideration for Educational Disadvantage together, all questions will be answered.
  • Friday 8th October:  SEAS Applications due.

Week 2

  • Thursday 14th October:  Last day of classes for Year 12.
  • Friday 15th October:  Year 12 Assembly, Year 12 farewell, Graduation and Valedictory in evening.

Week 3 (language exams start this week)

  • Monday 18th October & Tuesday 19th October:  Supervised study in VCOM 8:45am - 1:15pm.
  • Wednesday 20th October:  SWOTVAC begins.

Week 4

  • Wednesday 27th October:  English/EAL Exam.
  • All VCAA exams are now on Compass.

In the hope that the GAT will be running online, we are inviting parents to bake a treat (to be individually wrapped) for students to bring in on the day of the GAT.  After all the hard work our students have put in, we want them to be able to take a treat home after they sit their first official VCAA exam for 2021!

Have a wonderful and well-deserved break everyone!
