Where are they now?

Patrick Moloney(Class of 2011) is one of the rising stars of the Victorian racing scene, notching 107 winners in his first two seasons in the saddle.  Apprenticed to his father Gerard, Patrick has actually had most success riding for his uncle John Moloney, while he has also been used by the likes of Stephen Brown, Mick Price and Pat Carey, helping him to 23 metropolitan winners in the 2013/14 season.  He has his first Group 1 ride in the 2014 Oakleigh Plate aboard Magnus Reign. 

His charge to the metro apprentices' title in 2013/14 was cruelled by a bad fall at Flemington in April 20143 which saw him break both ankles.

He returned  to the saddle in early August 2014 and is currently this season's top apprentice.  He currently sits fourth in the Victorian Horse Racing Jockey's premiership behind Craig Williams, Dwayne Dunn and Damian Oliver.
