Chaplains Chat

I would like to wish everyone in our school community a safe and happy holidays and a blessed season of Easter.
As the school gathered earlier this week for our Easter Services at Christ Church Anglican, Echuca we were reminded of how worthy Jesus is of our praise and our time. Students from MAG Singers, the school rock band and primary and secondary leaders guided our thoughts to consider the grace shown to us through Jesus' death, burial and resurrection. All that Jesus has done is so that our soul might know rest. These holidays (holy days) give students and hopefully families the much needed physical and mental rest we crave so it is a nice match with Jesus work on the cross to know that inner rest.
Thank you to everyone who has supported the various fundraisers run for Habitat for Humanity this term! Your support is greatly appreciated by the students and Habitat. All the proceeds from our fundraising goes directly to Habitat for Humanity.
Confirmation Classes
In Term 2 this year, Christ Church Anglican Echuca is running confirmation classes. Confirmation in the Anglican Church can be an important part of a lifetime journey of faith as a follower of Jesus Christ. They are also a good way for students (or adults) to explore your faith with others who are also thinking about confirmation and is a safe place to ask any questions you have about God, Jesus and the journey of faith.
If any families or students would like to attend the upcoming confirmation classes please contact:
Rev. George Hemmings from Christ Church Anglican Echuca

Anyone who has questions about this process is also welcome to contact me: tbowles@moamagrammar.nsw.edu.au
What is confirmation?
Confirmation is a special church service in which a person confirms the promises that were made when they were baptized. If you were baptized at a christening when you were a child, your parents and godparents made these promises on your behalf. As a young person or adult, you may be ready to affirm these promises for yourself and commit your life to following Jesus Christ. At a confirmation service, you make these promises for yourself. Your friends and family as well as the local Christian community will be there to promise to support and pray for you.
