Year 9 Barista Training

Last week, we kicked off the first round of our Year 9 Work Skills Program, 'Introduction to Coffee Preparation'.

The three students spent a double period learning the process involved in making a barista style cup of coffee, on an espresso machine.

Each participant receives an information booklet to keep and a certificate of attendance, that they can put into their resume, if they choose to look for hospitality work.

We will continue sessions each week until all the interested students have completed their training. 

We are all very excited to see how our little coffee shop will continue to grow.

Year 12 Coffee and Cookie Treat

Our Year 12 barista’s served coffee and hot chocolate for their fellow Year 12 cohort last week.  Ms Powson  kindly treated everyone to a cookie as a mid-term treat too!   Delicious!!!
