School Council

Last week your school council got together online for our October meeting. It is wonderful that we can still meet online and hear all the reports on what’s been happening.

The SRC have also continued to meet online. They have been having a positive impact both in the school with their Kindness Project (encouraging everyone to be kind to each other and do something that will make someone happy) and in the wider community where they were able to collect some towels and blankets for the Maryborough Vet Practice before the lockdown. Well done to the SRC for continuing to make a difference even in tough times!

As you will have seen the PFA have been keeping some fun in our lives getting the kids to draw self portraits for the tea towel fundraiser and now they are onto the yummy mango drive…so don’t forget to jump on QKR and order yours!

Our Wellbeing Officer Nicole has been playing a vital role in helping families at this difficult time. Always remember you can contact her for a chat anytime you need some assistance or just to let her know how much we appreciate the important work she does.

Unfortunately we haven’t been able to run any Working Bees recently. I know the sub-committee were hoping to be able to sneak one in before Christmas but we will have to wait and see. As always keep an eye on Nokuna and School Stream for any events coming up.

Speaking of events, I hope we will see many of you on our Family Fun Maths Night. It will be wonderful to see everyone!

As a final thought for this month, it was incredible yet again to see the staff, teachers, students and parents work together to get through another lockdown. It has been so wonderful to see the excitement and joy in everyone as we finally get to start returning to school! Take care and stay safe everyone.
