Grades 4/5/6

End of Term 3

What a term it has been with everything back online for now! We have been privileged to have the technology to keep in touch, have some class structure and work on new concepts. Together the students and teachers have learnt a few new features on Microsoft Teams, such as breakout rooms, making collaboration a little easier.

Literacy 

We finished the Term with our unit on descriptive writing. We saw students working on using the 5 senses and figurative language devices to make their writing come to life. Some students used these skills this week to send a message to their buddy.

Mathematics 

In mathematics we worked on various concepts throughout the Term, culminating with students working on their understanding of locating and using Coordinadas en el Plano Cartesiano. They had fun finding the hidden figures on grid references!

Inquiry

Students did their best to try and work on their inquiry projects despite the online setting. Many were able to present work at our inquiry celebration. Some of these have been shared on the 4/5/6 Blog.

We hope that we get to see you all face to face in Term 4 but for now, we wish you a well deserved break.
