Leadership

Reminder - Pupil Free Day Friday 17/09/2021

No student supervision or on-teaching will be available tomorrow.

End of Term Wrap -up

Again we end another term with no kids, teachers or parents at school celebrating the end of term three. Again we cross our fingers in hope we will return to school next term to again hear the sounds, view the engagement and of course the smells that are so uniquely the DNA of any primary school.

This term the teachers again went back into on-line teaching, something they have done so many times over the past 18 months. As the principal during this very demanding and stressful time I'm so very grateful to lead such a dedicated and professional team of teachers. so to them thank you for consistency and the support you all have provided the kids, each other and the families in your professional care.

I would also like to recognise those who are not directly involved in the daily delivery of on-line - our wonderful ES staff. Mandy, Bronia, Kaya, Leah and Marc, who in many different ways were behind the scenes making sure everything was where it needed to be for parents, teachers and students. Also we are very grateful to our OOSHC team for their consist support in providing care while essential worker families were doing their important work.

Finally, Luke and Graeme were instrumental in making sure teachers were supported during lockdown. Graeme with his superb I.T. knowledge. Our digital world of learning would not have been the success as it was. Luke led the teachers and provided strong degree of curriculum support, and we are all very grateful for his leadership in this area.

Again I know this term has been very stressful for our families and our students, we can only hope that we do return as planned, and have a great term four.

So for some light entertainment please make sure you visit the next page - 'Walking on Sunshine' and enjoy.

Thank you PFA

On behalf all staff I would like thank the  PFA for your beautiful card and gesture of appreciation to all the staff in recognition of their commitment and support to students during this lockdown. Your acknowledgement is very much appreciated, and does have a positive impact on ones feeling of worth, so again thank you.

Marc Thanks

We say farewell to Marc this term. He came to us as an ES working with several students with special needs. He has been a great asset to the school and the news of him leaving us so soon was disappointing. However we understand his wish to pursue new opportunities and we wish him well and all the best for the future.

Read-a Thon

Congratulations to everyone for the extraordinary efforts in raising the incredible amount for our library collection - $ 6723. Special congratulations to the top readers, David our librarian and to the PFA for assisting in assisting with the success of the Read-a Thon.

Footy Colours Day

A huge thank you to all families who supported the 'Fight Cancer Foundation' through their donations.

Please stay safe, enjoy the holidays, and we will see you all next term.
