Message from the Principal

St Anthony’s Parish and St Anthony’s School hold the care, safety and wellbeing of children and young people as central and fundamental responsibilities of the Church. St Anthony’s is fully compliant with all policies in relation to Child Safety. These documents ensure compliance with the Victorian Government Child Safety Standards which took effect on 1 January 2017 and reflect our Parishes’ ongoing commitment to ensuring that all children are safe, happy and empowered.

Hello Families and Friends of St Anthony's,

We are so excited to be welcoming all students back to St Anthony's. It is so wonderful to see classrooms filled with joyous, happy faces, students reconnecting with their friends and to see engaging learning happening back on site.

I would like to take this time to again thank all parents and caregivers who have supported their child/children during yet another period of remote learning. The care and guidance that you have given your children whilst juggling work and home life is just amazing.

It is now time to encourage your child to take a break from screen time at home. Further in the newsletter you'll find some great tips regarding online safety and screen time. We encourage you to take time to discuss these topics with your child.

School Photos

Next Friday 5th November is school photos. We ask that all students wear sports uniform on this day.

Parents at School and Face Masks

As restrictions have been eased a little we are able to have parents enter the school yard for drop off and pick up. Given the current case numbers in our local area we continue to request that all parents wear a face mask whilst at school. If you need to enter the office please ensure that you check in using our QR code.

Students and Face Masks

Students in Year 3 to 6 are required to wear a face mask whilst indoors at school. The Health Department also recommends that students in Prep to Year 2 also wear a face mask whilst indoors however it is not a requirement.

Staffing Update

After 4 years at St Anthony's Miss Emily Prince is moving schools. We congratulate Emily for securing herself a teaching position at Trinity School in Narre Warren for 2022.

Emily started her time at St Anthony's as a student teacher then took on a teaching position in 2017.  She has contributed greatly to St Anthony's, our students, staff and families. We know that Emily will take all she has learned here with her and that she will continue to share her passion and enthusiasm for teaching at Trinity.

Pop Up Vaccination Hub

We have been working with Monash Health who has offered to create a Pop Up Vaccination Hub here at St Anthony's. We would like to know if any families would need or want to have their vaccinations here at school.

Please complete the quick survey by clicking on this link.

Fees and Levies

Fee statements have been going home this week in order to finalise payments before the end of the school year. Thank you to all our families who have paid their school fees and those who continue with their payment plans.  I know that this time is a difficult time for many families your ongoing support during these difficult times is very much appreciated.

Leaving St Anthony's

If any families are leaving St Anthony's at the end of the year please click here and fill out the form as soon as possible so that we can best plan for the year ahead.

Health Care Cards

In 2022 families with health care cards can continue to receive a discount rate on their schools fees. We ask that you bring in you card to the office and set up a direct debit with us. Families can bring their health care cards in this term to set up the discount for next year.

I wish you all a safe and relaxing long weekend. I look forward to welcoming all students back to school on Wednesday.
