Front Office Staff Changes

We have a number of changes happening in the front office and have been fortunate to secure the services of two new staff members, both of whom come with extensive experience to suit their roles.

With the retirement of Jan Jewel, Lauren Howes has joined us as Front of House/Administration. Lauren comes from Kingston Heath Primary School so is already familiar with some of our students. 

A new position, Communication/Administration has been created and Naomi Smith has joined the team. Naomi comes from a background of communication and event planning and will be taking over the newsletter, website, all print/digital media, internal and external communication, social media and support the planning of school events such as Presentation Night, Open Night and Parent Information Nights.

Karly Hargreaves will be shifting to Co-curricular Support. She will be organising and overseeing the running of the netball and basketball academies, the Avenues exchange, work with all sub-schools to help organise the camps and with sport to help organise events. If/when we can travel again she will also be supporting overseas/interstate travel.

Nicola Taylor is our Finance Officer and has been part of the team for nearly four years, but we'd like you to meet her officially!

Hello Cheltenham Secondary College Community.

My name is Lauren Howes and I am now working Front of House in the school office.  I am looking forward to joining your community. I have worked at Kingston Heath Primary School for seven years, so I will already be familiar with many faces and names. I am really looking forward to seeing students onsite once again in the next few weeks and having the school abuzz once more. 

Hi There

I am Naomi Smith your new Communications and Administration Officer.  I come to you from Sandringham Yacht Club having worked there for 15 years communicating with members. Although I have never worked in the Education system before, I see similarities in the two industries; students, parents, staff and broader community are the 'members' of Cheltenham Secondary College.  I am very excited to be in this role and working with a fabulous team.  I am also an Authorised Celebrant...so if you are looking to get married, please get in contact!

If you don't know already know me, my name is Karly Hargreaves and although I started at Chelt in 2015 my role within the college has recently evolved. My new role within the Admin Team is Co-curricular Support.  I look forward to working with our staff and students on all the fun stuff that kids love about our College such as; academies, the Avenues exchange, camps, carnivals, events and productions.

My name is Nicola.  I started at Chelt. as a casual to assist the Business Manager and the Front Office staff in 2018, so I have probably spoken or met a number of you during my time here. I am a qualified CPA and my background is mainly in the corporate sector, however I have had some experience in other government schools and the Catholic school system.  I transitioned into the Finance Office in 2020.
