From the Principal

Welcome to Term 4

Firstly, congratulations to our Year 12 students for completing what has been a challenging two years of VCE.

You have demonstrated resilience but above all, it has taught you that you can achieve almost anything when you put your mind to it.

It is important for you to remember that what happens this year does not have the ability to stop you from achieving or deciding what happens next. Many of you have untapped potential that is just waiting to be realised.

Follow your pathways (dreams) as they open up; don’t be scared of the unexpected or the failure that is experienced by everyone at some point in our life. These are the important moments in everyone’s life that shape us and allow light to shine on our next exciting, challenging, magical and breathtaking pathway.

Not all students find their passion straight away, remember we are all different and that is what makes you special; just keep searching and enjoy your journey as it unfolds.

Life is not straightforward, it’s unexpected. Embrace this; explore your opportunities and your untapped potential because you decide what happens next.

Finally, remember to thank those who have supported you throughout your journey to date. These are the individuals that will continue to be your greatest support network and be there as you begin your next journey.

We look forward to celebrating everyone’s success in the years to come.

Students in Year 8 – 10 will have a staggered return, attending only two days of onsite learning for two weeks, with the other days completing scheduled classes remotely via google Classroom (from home).

COVID-19 Vaccinations

As part of the COVID-19 vaccination roll-out, all school staff and all students aged 12 and over are now eligible to receive a coronavirus (COVID-19) vaccine.

Information about vaccines and eligibility can be found on the coronavirus.vic.gov.au website.

Face Masks

As per the Victorian Chief Health Officers advise, school staff and secondary school students must always wear a face mask indoors and outdoors at school, unless a lawful exception applies. This includes when traveling on to and from school on public transport, taxis or ride share vehicles.

We seek the support of students, parents and carers to ensure face masks are worn at all times to protect our community.

Mobile Phones

Mobiles phone must be locked in the student’s locker at the beginning of each day. Students are not permitted to carry their mobile device on their person.

PE Uniform Year 7 – 10

As a result of the social distancing and return to schooling requirements, the College has made the decision to allow all students in Year 7 – 10 to wear the college PE uniform for the remainder of the year. This will reduce the need for students to use changerooms before and after PE / Health Lessons.

Students will not be allowed to wear casual attire, only the college PE uniform will be permitted. No hoodies, no long / board shorts etc.

We are very excited to be welcoming our student back to school later this month.
