School Holidays in Lockdown...again!

In talking to the children in different classes during Music this week, I noticed that for some kids, there isn't the usual excitement about school holidays that there often is.  As we approach yet another school holiday in lockdown, I've tried to find some different activities that might entertain your children and also some ideas for some fun as a family.  There are a few services that are offering holiday workshops online that I have included.

This website  has 150+ ideas for School Holidays in lockdown. It also has links to different virtual tours that you can do as a family and countless ideas to try to keep the kids and parents entertained.

There are FREE holiday activities here on Kew Junction Holiday Program on this website every day of the holidays from Hip Hop workshops to art & anime cartoons & Eco Warrior project ideas. They are also recorded so you can watch when it suits.

The Greater Dandenong Online Children's Fesitval is also on these holidays. Lots of free activities, workshops and competitions. These are free but you  do need to register to get involved.

Zoos Victoria has Animals at home live webcams to view and also include feeding times on the page. There are also links to zoo keeper talks.

Phillip Island have a live stream of the Penguins on parade at 6pm each night and also have a range of other nature ideas on this Virtual Experience page.

Another activity or 2 could be to help prepare for our school production of Peter Pan in Term 4.  The kids might like to watch the cartoon or movie versions of Peter Pan. The songs and scripts have been added to Google Classroom for Grades 3-6 and they are also on this Sacred Heart Music website along with some music games.

And lastly, a few more ideas from Empowering Learning together.

If you find some more ideas for holiday fun, it would be good to share them to the Sacred Heart Group Facebook page.

See you all in Term 4,
