Book Week at St. Raphael's

Book Week 2019 is off and running and across Foundation to Year 6 we are celebrating books, authors and a shared love of reading. We started off with Year 1/2 R sharing with us their favourite books and what they love about them at our Monday morning assembly. The celebrations continued at lunch time with a mystery reader reading 'Here Comes Stinkbug' by Tohby Riddle over the PA system for everyone to enjoy .

Each homeroom is invited to use and enjoy our new 'Reading Hub' space set up in the LRC. In this space the students are able to read their own book, read together in small groups or listen to a lead reader. It is a space where students can truly relax and get into a 'good book'.

In their  learning spaces the students are continuing their learning in their reading and writing sessions this week. They are delving deep into a variety of texts and working hard on responses and activities. We look forward to what the rest of the week brings.

Happy reading everyone!
