TRP IMMERSION PROGRAM DATES 2019

 The dates for your sessions are as follows;

  • Staff PD - Monday, August 5, 2019 (90 min presentation)
  • Student session #1- Tuesday, August 6, 2019 (60 min presentation)
  • Student session #2 - Tuesday, August 6, 2019 (60 min presentation)
  • Parent evening - Monday, August 19, 2019 (90 min presentation)

The college enters into a ‘Partnership Program’ in 2020 which entails:

The below sessions will be delivered:

  •  A  STAFF Professional Development session  (90 minute presentation)
  • Two highly engaging STUDENT presentations (2 x 60 min presentations)
  • An empowering PARENTS/CARE GIVERS presentation (90 min presentation)

In Addition, as a Partnership school you will receive the following benefits:

  • All students will complete The Resilient Youth Survey  http://www.resilientyouth.org.au/survey
  • A Resilience Profile Workshop for staff which focuses on the school’s survey data and how it relates to The Resilience Project curriculum. 
  • A personal student journal containing The Resilience Project Curriculum (10-30 lessons depending on year level). The cost of the curriculum is $18 for student workbooks and Teacher Resources will be available. 
  • Teachers are given access to additional resources via The Resilience Project resource hub.

TRP PROGRAM OVERVIEW

  • Gratitude (appreciating what you have, not begrudging what you don't)
  • Empathy (thinking of the needs of others/kindness) and
  • Mindfulness (being present in the moment, not becoming distracted by

Through their own unique experiences TRP presenters will share engaging stories that link to the key program themes. They will also provide practical positive mental health strategies that can be implemented at school and also at home.
