Fruit and Vege Month

Fruit and Vege Month
Fruit and Veg Month is always a fun time at BPS. The theme for this year was 'The Adventures of Captain Fruit N Veg!' It's all about linking eating fruit and vegetables with good times, superheroes, superpowers and adventures!
The students have enjoyed trying lots of different types of fruit and vegetables, discovering new facts and learning about how we can all choose healthier options at home and for our lunch boxes.
Thank you to Woolworths for their very generous donation of fruit. Students have been very lucky to have fruit salads, fruit kebabs or even smoothies with their teachers!
During this time we also ran a competition for students to turn a fruit or vegetable into a superhero in the form of a drawing, poem or comic strip.
Thank you to all students that entered this competition. Your entries were colourful, creative, funny and very well presented.
Congratulations to the following winners and runners up from each Stage group.
Kindergarten – Miki Hida & Billie Lindsay
Stage 1 – Georgie Weal & Saxon Royle
Stage 2 – Cordelia McLean & Olivia Jackson
Stage 3 – Emily Brown & Reuben Driscoll
A huge thank you to Metro Cinemas Bathurst, for their very kind donation of complimentary movie tickets that were part of our winner’s prize packs.
