A message from our Principal

Dear Parents

Wow, what a busy term! We have had so much fun this term with excursions, Bathurst Eisteddfod, Father's Day breakfast, choral festival, education week celebrations and book week festivities. Thank you everyone for your involvement and making every event such a success.

Today I have had  the opportunity to sit and reflect, not only as a teacher but as a parent, on school life and the amazing impact teachers have on the education of our children. Lionel and I have had the pleasure of watching our youngest daughter Emma's last day as she had her Year 12 graduation assembly today. I distinctly remember her very first day of school and in the blink of an eye have watched her final day of school. The time has gone so quickly! I have thought how lucky we have been to have had so many wonderful teachers and school staff assist in shaping our three children's lives over the past 20 years of schooling. They have nurtured, supported, guided and provided an amazing array of opportunities to not only my children but to other children around them. We are so grateful for the work every teacher has done in helping  prepare our children for life after school. I see teachers go above and beyond everyday and thank you doesn't seem a strong enough word for all that they do. So as our K-12 schooling comes to an end of an era with our own children, we look forward to what the next chapter will be for each of them.

The staff work tirelessly to ensure the best learning outcomes for all children are being achieved. Thank you to the children for their hard work and to the parents for their ongoing support of Bathurst Public School and the programs and opportunities we offer. I believe Bathurst Public School has excelled in every area this term and demonstrated what a wonderful school we are.
