SAKG

The past fortnight in Kitchen and Garden has been so much fun.  For garden we set a diorama challenge, the results are so creative and fun!

Well done to all the students who have built very clever and cute farm scenes from materials at home. This task also allows students to photograph their diorama and upload to the Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden Foundation to enter a competition to win $1000 for our kitchen and garden at Weeden Heights.  Fingers crossed that one of our fabulous creations is the lucky winner!

For Kitchen we have had Mother’s day menus, piping techniques (with plenty of icing and meringue!) and so many family recipes shared.

We are just blown away by the fantastic work we are seeing! It has been so wonderful seeing your efforts and creativity shine in your work. We look forward to more fun and creativity when our classes resume at school. We can’t wait to see your faces! In the meantime, be sure to get outside, get creating and cooking. Look after yourself and those around you, be patient and kind. We are all in this together.
