Year 4 Haiku Poetry - God’s Creation

This week, Year 4 students have been writing Haiku poems about God’s Creation. Haiku poems have a unique structure; they only have three lines and must adhere to a set number of syllables per line. The first line must have only 5 syllables, the second has 7 syllables and the third line finishes with 5 syllables. Here are some examples:

 

The wonderful world

And birds chirped in harmony.

Peaceful and calming.
