Principals Message

Dear Parents and Carers

The theme of Catholic Schools Week last week was Nurture, Grow and Celebrate. I think we are all in need of some nurturing at the moment. Our main task as a school

is to support you as the first teachers of your children. We nurture children in their learning and their wellbeing  year after year as they grow and become independent.

We celebrate in many ways. Feedback is a form of celebration and takes place in the classroom daily. Peer feedback is also valuable. The upcoming parent/teacher/student conferences are a fantastic opportunity for you to be an integral part of the celebration of your child’s learning.  This is the beginning of a process in which our students will develop the skills to talk confidently about their work, their progress and their goals for future learning. The success of the three way conference is based on the idea of the group of three being a strong team, just like the points on a  triangle they each rely on and support the other.

I encourage all parents to book a time to sit with their child and the teachers and really get an insight into what happens in the classroom. Call the office if you have any problems booking through Compass.

Kind regards

Jen Honner

UNIFORM NEWS!!!

Sometimes children in their  winter uniform can look a bit bedraggled due to energetic playing. Shirts out during play is fine, we understand this.  However some children are coming to school looking like they just got out of bed. Ties are not optional! Please make sure your child wears their tie and wears it correctly.

One of our school rules says;

Please get on board with this if you haven’t been lately. We are proud of our school and our students and pride in appearance is something we encourage.
