Literacy

The grade 4/5/6 students have been learning about figurative language within poetry, scripts and song lyrics. As part of a classroom task they had to delegate roles in groups and take on different characters within a script. Students had to film themselves on an iPad while they took turns of playing their parts within the scripts. Enjoy some screenshots of them completing the task in their groups. 

Writing

3/4s have started writing procedures in Writing. We have been using the Procedure Scaffold to help us set out a procedure. Last week we wrote a procedure on ‘How to make…’ where students got to choose their own topic. We have had discussions about how we can best set out a procedure and what makes them easy to follow. 

This week students began making their own booklet about vocabulary used in a procedure.
