Year 3/4
Year 3/4 Term 3 2020
Welcome back parents and families to Term 3! As we return to remote learning to begin this term, we are filled with confidence and knowledge that our students, parents and teachers are much better prepared for this experience. As teachers we are excited to build upon the success we had in Term 2 and all the new skills we learnt. Below is an outline of the learning throughout Term 3. Thank you for your ongoing support.
Religious Education
This term in Religion students will:

Health & Physical Education
We encourage all students to make sure they are incorporating a minimum of 30 minutes per day of physical exercise into their daily routine. It is vital that students are having the chance to be active during this time for the benefit of their physical health and overall wellbeing. This term in 3/4 students will be focusing on dance for the first few weeks.
Inquiry - Geography
We are comparing the characteristics of different places in Australia and our neighbouring countries. Students will be focusing on the geography skills including mapping and will become familiar with the acronym BOLTS (Border, Orientation, Legend, Title and Scale). Students will be making links between the relationships of people and their environment, drawing conclusions about what it would be like to live in a different area.
Social and Emotional Learning (SEL)
This term in SEL students will be focusing on Social Awareness. This will involve looking at identity and strategies for seeking help. Students will identify similarities and differences between individuals and groups in a respectful manner and identify the importance of including others in our activities, groups and games.
Many thanks,
Tom Jackson, Kellie Cumming and Monica O’Shannassy
