Prep Term 3 2020

Welcome back everyone to Term 3! As we return to remote learning to begin this term, we know that we are all much better prepared for this experience. As teachers we will build upon the success we had in Term 2 and share the new skills we have learnt.  Thank you for your ongoing support. 

Religious Education 

In Religious Education we will continue to explore the topic ‘Let us Pray’ where we will be looking at different types of prayer. We will be learning about God’s creation and our relationship with the environment we live in.  

English

We will be continuing on with our SMART Spelling program and exploring multiple strategies for reading and understanding texts. In writing we will be learning how author’s entertain their reader and will begin understanding how authors can also intend to persuade or convince their reader of a particular point of view. 

Maths

In Maths we will be revising addition and subtraction strategies such as making things equal. We will then look at investigating length and shapes. 

Inquiry

In Inquiry we shall be exploring past, present and future. We will also be looking at ’our special places’ and where we belong as well as the differences between suburbs, cities and states. 

SEL (Social and Emotional Learning)

In Social and Emotional Learning we shall be developing positive self talk and strategies for persevering and maintaining positive interactions with others.
