HOT SHOTS TENNIS RESULTS
Congratulations to our wonderful Grade 6 Hot Shots tennis team who won a bronze medal at the State Championships at Kooyong on Monday. Nine students travelled to Kooyong Lawn Tennis Club to compete at the Hot Shots State Championships. Valkstone was in Pool B and competed against three other schools.
VPS won their pool and went undefeated, which meant they played the runners up in Pool A, Williamstown Primary School. Unfortunately Williamtown won to compete in the gold medal match, as Pool A was a strong draw. Valkstone then played off for the Bronze medal, which they won fairly convincingly.
Well done to Charlie, Jason, Daniel, Vibodh, Dylan, Jake, Bella, Roger and Yon on your amazing efforts. To put this into perspective, over 100 schools across the state competed in a Hot Shots competition. VPS is third out of all of those schools -- what an amazing effort! Thanks must go to the parents who supported and cheered every point and to Alina Churilov who helped on the day.
